Overview
Same experiment, different framework. A pinned Tempest 3 checkout is compiled with Elephc into a finite native web binary; Tempest's sources stay byte-identical, and the rewrites the compiler needs form a small, explicit patch corpus.
A real request runs through Tempest's HttpApplication, router, middleware, controllers and response classes. Runtime discovery, reflective dependency injection and dynamic callable dispatch are replaced by finite ahead-of-time adapters.
Tempest is smaller and more static than Laravel, so it doubles as a benchmark for what a compiler-friendly PHP framework looks like.
Highlights
- Tempest sources byte-identical to the pinned release
- About twenty file-level patches, each pinned to its original and patched hashes
- Verified routes: /, /health, /hello/:name and a real 404
- Compiled for PHP 8.5 with --web
