Overview
A native Omarchy widget that records calls with both sides intact: the microphone you choose and the desktop audio end up in the same MP3, ready to share. While you record, the red icon on the right of the bar opens the controls: the levels that actually reach the recording, microphone and output selection, pause, a mute for each source and stop. Unless you pick a specific output, desktop capture follows the system one even when it changes, and the panel warns you when Chrome is playing on a different output.
While recording, microphone and desktop are saved as separate lossless FLAC tracks on a shared timeline; when you stop, the plugin mixes them into a 192 kbps MP3, with no real-time deadlines, and sends a notification when it is ready. Each recording gets its own folder in ~/Music/Recordings/, with the MP3, the two FLAC tracks and a JSON session report; if the MP3 export fails, the FLAC tracks are still there. It needs Python with PyGObject, GStreamer, pactl and ffmpeg.
What it does
- Microphone and output picked in the panel, with the levels that actually reach the recording
- Pause and a separate mute for microphone and desktop, from the keyboard too
- Follows the system output when it changes, and warns you when Chrome plays on another one
- Separate lossless FLAC tracks while you record, then a 192 kbps MP3
- One folder per recording in ~/Music/Recordings, never reused or overwritten
- A JSON session report with route changes, controls and export status
