Overview
Omarchy Cmdtab brings macOS window switching to the Omarchy shell: a horizontal strip of icons gathers open windows from every workspace, with the most recently used first. Hold SUPER and tap TAB once to select the window you just came from; keep tapping TAB to go further back, then release SUPER to bring your selection to the front. Shift+Tab goes backwards and Esc cancels.
While holding SUPER, you can also move through the icons with h and l. The overlay shows the selected application's name, recognizes Omarchy webapp icons, follows the active theme and scrolls when there are more windows than fit on screen. During window switching, the keyboard is reserved for the switcher's controls; normal desktop shortcuts resume when the overlay closes.
Omarchy 4 or newer with its shell plugin system and Hyprland Lua configuration supporting hl.define_submap is required. Recency order comes directly from Hyprland; builds without focusHistoryID group windows by workspace and application instead. After adding the plugin, load the bundled hyprland.lua from ~/.config/hypr/bindings.lua using the README. Choose SUPER+TAB or Alt+Tab: the configuration also sets up confirmation when the modifier is released.
