Overview
Prompt Library keeps the prompts you want to reuse within reach through the plib command. In the terminal interface, search titles or content, edit multiline text and press Enter to copy the selected prompt to your clipboard. It also works from the command line, with JSON output for scripts and automation.
Prompts can be global or belong to a project, identified by its Git remote even from subdirectories and worktrees. The library lives in local JSON files with Git history: an optional remote keeps it in sync across machines. If the network is unavailable, you can keep working locally; when edits conflict, recovery copies are preserved.
Install with Homebrew on macOS and Linux, with mise, or download binaries for Linux, macOS and Windows. Git 2.28 or later is required, along with wl-copy, xclip or xsel for clipboard access on Linux. Run plib skills install to install the bundled skill and use the same library with Codex, Claude Code and other Agent Skills hosts.
